From Fear to Eternity was conceived as a retrospective of Iron Maiden’s later catalogue, spanning material released between 1990 and 2010. Rather than supporting a single album narrative, the artwork needed to unify multiple eras, moods, and stylistic shifts into one coherent image.
Melvyn’s role here is less about reinvention and more about synthesis. Familiar elements from across the band’s modern history are drawn together and presented as part of a continuous visual lineage, creating an image that feels summative rather than episodic.
The result is a composition designed to stand alone — not as a moment in time, but as a gateway into a body of work. It reflects the atmosphere and presence that define this period of Iron Maiden’s output, without anchoring itself to any single release.
